The campus offers both study abroad programs for visiting students and, starting with the 2026 academic year, a full four-year Bachelor's Degree earned entirely in Rome, alongside the Temple Rome Entry Year Program, which lets students begin their studies in the Italian capital and continue in Philadelphia or at the Tokyo campus.
The academic offer spans Business, Communications, International Affairs, Computer Science, Global Studies and the humanities, all taught in English except for Italian language courses. Since 2025 the campus has also had a dedicated residence hall for first-year students.

Temple Rome's history
Temple University Rome was founded in 1966, becoming one of the first stable American academic programs in Italy, alongside Temple University Japan. The first academic year saw the enrollment of 24 undergraduate students and 12 graduate students.
In 1990 the campus established the Gallery of Art, an exhibition space dedicated to visiting artists, faculty and students, which over the years has built relationships with commercial galleries and Rome's academic and artistic community. For decades the program focused on offering study abroad semesters and years for undergraduate students from Temple and other American universities, with a strong emphasis on experiential learning through Rome and Italy.
In 2024, coinciding with its nearly sixtieth anniversary, the campus relocated to its new and prestigious home on Piazza di Spagna. In 2025 a residence hall for first-year students was opened, and starting in 2026 Temple Rome took the historic step of offering, for the first time, a full four-year degree earned entirely in Italy.
