POLIMI Graduate School of Management, previously known as MIP Politecnico di Milano, is the Politecnico di Milano's business school, based in the Bovisa district, an area historically industrial and now converted into a university hub. The school is part of the broader Design system of the Politecnico di Milano, alongside the School of Design and the Department of Design.

POLIMI GSoM's history
POLIMI Graduate School of Management was founded in 1979 as the Master in Production Engineering, from which the historic MIP acronym originated, with the aim of combining engineering training with economic, organizational and production management skills. In 1986 MIP became a consortium of the Politecnico di Milano, Italian institutions and public and private industrial groups, consolidating a model of close collaboration between academia and business that would shape its later development.
In 2003 the Politecnico formally established its own School of Management, bringing together MIP, founded in 1979, and the Department of Management Engineering, established in 1990. Professor Gianluca Spina played a key role in the school's internationalization process and its entry into the Financial Times rankings; after his passing in 2015, an association dedicated to him was created to support scholarships and initiatives in management engineering.
In recent years the school has recorded significant growth, more than doubling its overall student population compared to 2022 and consolidating its position among Europe's leading business schools tied to technical universities.
