Master’s Degree in Nursing and Midwifery Sciences – Nursing Profile

The Master's Degree in Nursing and Midwifery Sciences, nursing profile, is offered by the Department of Precision and Regenerative Medicine and Ionian Area of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. The first year covers research, with medical statistics and evidence-based methodology, training, health economics and planning, administrative law and the organisation of first aid services; the second year provides the concrete application of these models in work contexts, with further internships and project work. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years and is taught in person in Bari. The language is Italian. Internships take place at accredited facilities, Nursing Directorates and Quality Offices, and are compulsory in both years.

The aim is to train professionals for research, training, health management, prevention and leadership in public and private healthcare facilities. The career opportunities are nursing coordination, healthcare leadership and management, research and training. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience.
