First-Level University Master in Posturology

The First-Level University Master in Posturology is offered by the Department of Translational Biomedicine and Neurosciences (DiBraiN) of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. The programme provides 1,785 hours in total, organised in lectures and practical activities, with a focus on postural assessment and the management of postural disorders. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The master lasts one academic year, is worth 71 credits and is taught in person full-time in Bari. The total cost is 2,000 euros. A selection is provided with a limited number of participants, from 20 to 50.

The aim is to train professionals who are experts in posturology, able to work in both clinical and research settings and to apply innovative techniques for the treatment of related disorders. The career opportunities indicated are clinical biomechanic, coordinating physiotherapist, physical and rehabilitation medicine doctor, sports podiatrist, psychomotor therapist, researcher and movement analysis technician. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
