Master in Sport Management

The first-level Master in Sport Management is offered by the Interdisciplinary Department of Medicine (DIM) of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary modules in economics, law applied to sport, digital marketing, leadership, accounting and corporate finance, with lessons, interactive laboratories, seminars and case studies. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The format is evening, online with in-person events in Udine. The master lasts 304 hours, is worth 60 credits and costs 3,932 euros. Compulsory attendance is 70%. An internship at sports clubs and partner bodies is provided.

The aim is to develop professionals able to take on roles of responsibility in the Italian sports system, with skills in administration, management and strategic decision-making. The related roles are sports marketing consultant, sports economics lecturer, sports law lecturer, sports club manager, team manager and event organiser. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
