Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics

The Master's Degree in Bioinformatics is offered by the Department of Biosciences, Biotechnology and Environment (DBBA) of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. The programme includes molecular biology, computer science, mathematics, statistics, programming, chemistry, machine learning in the biomedical field, omics technologies and biomolecular data analysis. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course is two-year and full-time in person in Bari. Knowledge of English at least at B2 level is required. The internship is provided in the training pathway.

The aim is to train experts in the analysis of complex biological data, with skills in molecular genetics, computer science and biostatistics. The career opportunities are biomedical research, biotechnology, the pharmaceutical industry and data analysis. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study.
