Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering

The Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering is offered by the University of Catania, Department of Electrical, Electronic and Computer Engineering. It offers two curricula, Integrated Micro and Nano Systems and Power and Industrial Applications, with significant laboratory and practical activity, an international network, placement support and an emphasis on the most advanced technologies. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years, full-time and in person in Catania, in English.

The aim is to train highly specialised professionals able to design electronic devices and systems and to solve complex problems in emerging technological scenarios. Career opportunities are multinationals, small and medium-sized enterprises, public and private research centres and the creation of start-ups. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
