Master in Psycho-Neuro-Endocrine Immunology (pnei) and Integrated Care Science

The First-Level Master in Psycho-Neuro-Endocrine Immunology (PNEI) and Integrated Care Science is offered by the University of Catania, Department of Biomedical and Biotechnological Sciences. The programme integrates psychology, neuroscience, endocrinology and immunology, with modules in neurophysiopathology, psychiatry, endocrine immunology, pharmacology and body techniques. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The master lasts 12 months and is full-time and in person in Catania. It comprises 245 hours of lectures, 855 hours of individual study and 300 hours of compulsory internship; compulsory attendance is 80%. The language is Italian. The cost is €2,000.

The aim is to train healthcare professionals able to manage the psychophysical dynamics of stress and to work in multidisciplinary teams on stress-related conditions. Career opportunities include health educator, clinical psychology coordinator, specialist nurse and clinical research manager. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study.
