Master for Intercultural Community Educators – EDC

The first-level Master for Intercultural Community Educators (EDC) is offered by the University of Insubria. The programme integrates theoretical knowledge and practical skills, with attention to active listening, observation and problem solving. It includes lessons, practical laboratories, guided discussions and fieldwork in communities, schools and institutes. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The master lasts one year, in a weekend format, based in Como in person with the possibility of online attendance. The price indicated is €1,490.

The aim is to train educators able to build inclusive environments, promote mutual respect in multicultural contexts and develop tools for professional interaction. The career opportunities concern schools, communities, institutes and social organisations, with coordination and intercultural project management roles: cultural mediator, educational mediator, professional educator. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
