Master in Screenwriting for Film, Gaming and Audiovisual

The first-level Master in Screenwriting for Film, Gaming and Audiovisual is offered by the Department of Humanistic, Scientific and Social Innovation of the University of Basilicata and is coordinated by Professor Donato Verrastro. It combines theoretical lessons, practical exercises and project development workshops, with personalised tutoring and feedback from the scientific committee. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The master lasts one year and is held in a blended format, online and in person, in Potenza. The cost indicated is €4,000.

The aim is to train professionals able to write effective stories for film, video games and audiovisual media, with versatile skills in building narrative formats. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
