Master in Valorisation of Waste Biomass through Bioconversion into High-Value Products and Their Industrial Applications – VALORIBIO

The first-level Master in Valorisation of Waste Biomass through Bioconversion into High-Value Products and Their Industrial Applications (VALORIBIO) is offered by the Department of Basic and Applied Sciences of the University of Basilicata. It alternates theoretical lessons, practical activities and case studies, with a focus on bioconversion processes, the transformation of waste into valuable products and industrial applications. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The master is held in person in Potenza. The page seems to refer to a different edition from row 638, where the duration is 9 months and the format is mixed.

The aim is to train experts in the valorisation of waste biomass with an interdisciplinary approach, developing technical and managerial skills for the industrial circular economy. The career opportunities indicated are chemical, food and energy industries, environmental management and research and development centres. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
