Master’s Degree in CIMS – Media and Entertainment Cultures and Industries

The Master's Degree in CIMS - Media and Entertainment Cultures and Industries is offered by the University of Bari Aldo Moro. It has two specialisation pathways: audiovisual media and performing arts and music. It combines theoretical courses with professionalising laboratories and internships at partner organisations. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years, in Bari, and is part-time, in a blended format, in person with up to a third of activities online. The language is Italian, implicit. Internships with companies and cultural institutions are integrated into the pathway.

The aim is to develop advanced skills in cinema, audiovisual production, music and live entertainment, for roles in the cultural and media industries in project management, events and production. The career opportunities are cultural coordination, artistic curation, cultural marketing, media management, film production and communication. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience.
