Master’s Degree in International Relations and European Studies

The Master's Degree in International Relations and European Studies is offered by the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. It integrates historical, economic, political, sociological and legal knowledge, with an emphasis on language skills and on the analysis of European political systems. It includes lectures, seminars, practical exercises and internships. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years, is part-time in person and is bilingual, in English and Italian. Curricular internships at public bodies, international organisations and NGOs are provided.

The aim is to train professionals able to work in diplomacy, international organisations, NGOs and European institutions, with multilingual negotiation skills and conflict analysis. The career opportunities indicated are diplomacy, European institutions, international organisations, cooperation and public administrations. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
