Master’s Degree in Decision Science

The Master's Degree in Decision Science is offered by the Interuniversity Department of Physics of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. It is a multidisciplinary pathway integrating cognitive science, machine learning, artificial intelligence and market analysis, with lectures, practical laboratories, thematic seminars and curricular internships. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years, full-time in person in Bari, and is delivered entirely in English. Curricular internships and prizes for the best theses carried out abroad are provided.

The aim is to train experts able to support strategic decisions with an advanced use of data, developing quantitative and behavioural skills. The career opportunities indicated are data scientist, business analyst, data analyst, data engineer and public management expert. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
