Master’s Degree in Design and Management of Tourism and Cultural Systems

The Master's Degree in Design and Management of Tourism and Cultural Systems is offered by the Department of Economics, Management and Business Law of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. The multidisciplinary curriculum integrates economic, managerial, legal, geographical, social and linguistic skills, with an emphasis on heritage enhancement, sustainability and territorial marketing. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years, in person with online activities, in Bari. Compulsory internships and a dedicated placement office are provided.

The aim is to prepare professionals able to analyse, design and manage complex tourism and cultural systems, with a sustainable and international perspective. The career opportunities indicated are public and private bodies, tourism development agencies, consulting firms and cultural organisations, with professions such as cultural consultant, sustainability coordinator, destination manager and event manager. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
