Master’s Degree in Computer Science

The Master's Degree in Computer Science is offered by the Department of Computer Science of the University of Bari Aldo Moro and is entirely in English. It has two specialist curricula: Artificial Intelligence, with cognitive systems, robotics and intelligent technologies, and Security Engineering, with application security and management of secure IT projects. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course is full-time in person in Bari. Curricular internships and placement activities are included.

The aim is to train professionals able to design and develop advanced IT systems, with theoretical and practical skills applicable in healthcare, industry, public services, finance and defence. Eleven related professions are listed, including cybersecurity analyst, artificial intelligence expert, security engineer and cybersecurity manager. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
