Course in Cleaning Management

The Course in Cleaning Management is an advanced training course, not a master's, offered by the University of Bergamo. It covers QHSE (quality, health, safety, environment), Lean Thinking, integrated maintenance, service management, contracts, marketing, technologies applied to cleaning and the circular economy, with lectures, group work, simulations and project work. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The format is weekend, with two days, Thursday and Friday, twice a month, in Bergamo. The course lasts 128 hours and costs €4,500.

The aim is to develop a systemic view of the management of cleaning services, with a focus on quality, safety, sustainability and cost-effectiveness, and to provide tools for budgeting, human resource management and regulatory compliance. Career outcomes are coordination, supervision or operational responsibility roles in facility management, cleaning companies and public and private organisations with hygiene needs. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
