Master’s Degree in Economics, Finance and Data Analysis

The Master's Degree in Economics, Finance and Data Analysis is offered by the University of Cagliari; on the portal it also appears with the label Master, but it is a master's degree. The programme is multidisciplinary, with a common core in economics, finance, law and quantitative analysis and two specific selectable pathways. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course is taught full-time in person in Cagliari, in Italian and English. The internship is compulsory and the programme ends with a final thesis.

The aim is to train economic analysts with advanced skills in quantitative tools, financial preparation and the ability to manage complex economic phenomena. Career outcomes include business analyst, data analyst, financial analyst, public finance expert and data scientist, in public bodies and financial institutions. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
