Master’s Degree in Nature and Environment Conservation and Management

The Master's Degree in Nature and Environment Conservation and Management is offered by the University of Cagliari. The programme integrates the systemic analysis of ecosystems through theoretical lessons, workshops and fieldwork, with a focus on biodiversity and the sustainable management of the environment. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course is taught full-time in person in Cagliari. The language is Italian, with a B1 English requirement. The internship is planned as an integrated training component.

The aim is to provide advanced naturalistic training, combining scientific knowledge with an operational approach and developing critical analysis skills and the ability to manage complex environmental conservation projects. Career outcomes are research bodies, environmental associations, museums, environmental companies and freelance practice. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
