Master’s Degree in Internet Technology Engineering

The Master's Degree in Internet Technology Engineering, class LM-27, is offered by the University of Cagliari, Department of Civil, Environmental Engineering and Architecture. It includes compulsory and optional courses, organised into two specialist orientations from the second year, with a focus on ICT, IoT, the metaverse, next-generation networks, cloud computing and distributed communication systems. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course is full-time and in person in Cagliari. The language is Italian with modules in English, and the final exam may be defended in English.

The aim is to train professionals specialised in the design, development and management of ICT systems and complex infrastructures. Career opportunities include private companies, public bodies and research centres, with technical and managerial roles. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
