Master’s Degree in Innovation Development in Agri-Food Systems (IDEAS)

The Master's Degree in Innovation Development in Agri-Food Systems (IDEAS) is offered by the Di.S.S.P.A. Department of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. The curriculum focuses on innovation brokering in the agri-food sector, with a multidisciplinary study combining theory, laboratories, seminars, company visits and internships. The topics indicated include sustainable crop management, biomass enhancement and innovative techniques to reduce production inputs. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years, full-time in person in Bari with targeted online options. Teaching is entirely in English.

The aim is to train AgriFood Innovation Brokers, able to transfer scientific knowledge to industry, with skills in sustainability, resource optimisation and business development. The career opportunities are agricultural policy analysis, consulting for food and supply chain companies, food production management, agri-food marketing and innovation management. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience.
