Master’s Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures for Intercultural Services, Linguistic Mediation and International Cooperation

The Master's Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures for Intercultural Services, Linguistic Mediation and International Cooperation is offered by the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, Department of Human, Social and Health Sciences. It has two distinct orientations, one literary-didactic and one professional oriented to linguistic mediation and international cooperation, and integrates advanced studies of languages and literatures with anthropology, sociology and law. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years, full-time and in person in Frosinone. Internships are compulsory, often abroad.

The aim is to train professionals able to work in multicultural, educational and social contexts, with skills in linguistic mediation and international cooperation. Career opportunities include cultural institutions, schools, NGOs, international cooperation bodies and multilingual companies. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
