Master’s Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures for Intercultural Services, Linguistic Mediation and International Cooperation – Mediazion

The Master's Degree in Modern Languages and Literatures for Intercultural Services, Linguistic Mediation and International Cooperation, in the Cultural Mediation and International Cooperation pathway, is offered by the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio, Department of Human, Social and Health Sciences. It combines theoretical study of cultural and linguistic dynamics with practical workshops, internships and project work with bodies and NGOs. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years, in person in Frosinone. The language is Italian. Internships are included in the programme.

The aim is to train linguistic and cultural mediators, international cooperation professionals and operators in integration services, integrating linguistics, literature, sociology and project management. Career opportunities are international organisations, public bodies, non-profit associations and organisations dedicated to interculturality. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
