Master’s Degree in Research, Social Innovation and Inclusion Policies

The Master's Degree in Research, Social Innovation and Inclusion Policies is offered by the Department of Political Science of the University of Bari Aldo Moro. It integrates sociology, social work and political science, with two tracks: Social Innovation and Inclusion Policies, and Sociology and Social Research. It includes lectures, exercises, language laboratories and seminars. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years and is full-time in person in Bari. The internship is compulsory, with structured placement support.

The aim is to train professionals able to analyse and design innovative and inclusive social interventions, to work in public, private and third-sector bodies. The career opportunities are roles in analysis, design and coordination at public bodies, NGOs, research centres and social enterprises. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
