The Master's Degree in Computer Security is offered by the University of Bari Aldo Moro and is based in Taranto. It integrates theoretical and applied aspects with lectures, practical exercises, laboratories and group work. The courses address protection technologies, regulations, risk management and the protection of sensitive data. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years and is taught in a mixed format, with in-person in Taranto and e-learning. The language is Italian, with an English B1 requirement. Internships at companies and bodies are provided, with a job placement service and agreements with ICT companies for curricular internships.

The aim is to train specialists able to design, develop and manage secure IT systems, with technical, legal and managerial skills in cybersecurity. The career opportunities are cybersecurity analyst, cybersecurity consultant, security manager, network security engineer, computer forensic investigator and auditor. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
