Master’s Degree in Philosophy and Forms of Knowledge

The Master's Degree in Philosophy and Forms of Knowledge is offered by the University of Cagliari. It includes compulsory and optional courses covering the logical-mathematical-physical, historical-philosophical-literary, political-legal and pedagogical-psychological-neuroscientific areas, with particular attention to the logical-epistemological and methodological-scientific dimensions. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course is full-time in Cagliari.

The aim is to provide analytical, critical and interpretive methods and techniques in philosophy and the history of philosophy, developing skills in research and teaching. Career opportunities are access to doctoral research programmes and teaching in secondary schools. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
