Master’s Degree in Geoenvironmental Resources and Risks

The Master's Degree in Geoenvironmental Resources and Risks is offered by the University of Camerino, School of Science and Technology. It combines theoretical lectures, practical sessions, laboratory and field activities, with training in specialist software and customisable study plans with workshop opportunities. The pathway is aimed at those who wish to deepen and update their skills, with a structure that links theoretical reflection to concrete applications in the relevant professional context.

The course lasts two years, divided into four semesters, and is full-time and in person in Camerino, entirely in English. Internship opportunities are provided in national and international settings, with placement services.

The aim is to train geologists with solid scientific, managerial and leadership skills, able to manage georesources sustainably and to address environmental risks. Career opportunities include environmental specialist, soil and water remediation expert, seismic risk expert, mountain geologist, natural resource manager and project manager, with access to the Register of Geologists. Upon completion, those who successfully finish the pathway obtain the qualification provided and can use the skills acquired in their own professional field or in further study. Concrete prospects nevertheless depend on each participant's starting profile and experience. Those who work should carefully assess the commitment required, in terms of weekly hours and attendance, to understand whether the programme is compatible with other professional or personal commitments.
