Curriculum
The master offers interdisciplinary training on human resource management in the era of the dual transition, digital and social. The programme integrates management, psychology and labour law and focuses on digitalisation and social sustainability, artificial intelligence applied to HR processes, diversity and inclusion, organisational innovation and workplace well-being. Students learn to design personnel management policies and tools that take into account both new technologies and people's needs, fostering fair, inclusive and sustainable work environments. Students examine how digital tools, data analysis and artificial intelligence are transforming recruitment, training and appraisal, but also what ethical and legal risks they entail, in particular regarding fairness, transparency and worker protection.
Teaching lasts 18 months with a total commitment of 1,500 hours, corresponding to 60 credits. It is organised in a weekend format, with in-person and online lessons, so as to make it possible to combine study with work. The programme alternates lessons, practical workshops, project work and individual study, following an interdisciplinary approach that connects the different disciplines involved. Teaching is trilingual, in Italian, German and English, in line with the multilingual context of Bolzano, which is also the venue of the programme, and requires participants to be confident in all three languages. The applied approach of the workshops and projects makes it possible to deal with situations typical of HR functions, developing skills in analysis, communication and change management, and to build relationships with other professionals in the field. The project work allows students to apply knowledge to real organisational problems, while the choice of the weekend format and blended delivery makes the master manageable also for those already in a professional activity.
The aim is to train professionals able to integrate digitalisation and social sustainability into human resource management processes. Career opportunities include private companies, public administration, the third sector and research, with roles such as HR manager, HR consultant, personnel management specialist and head of human resources. The master is aimed at young graduates interested in a career in personnel functions and at those already working in companies who wish to update their skills on artificial intelligence, inclusion and organisational well-being, in a labour market where people management is increasingly strategic. The master also encourages the creation of a network of contacts among HR professionals from companies and organisations in the area, useful for exchanging experiences and developing collaborations.
